Live in Darlington, North East England, the birthplace of the railway in 1825 and where a team of enthusiasts has just completed the constructon of an exact replica of an A1 Pacific main line steam locomotive and has now started building a Gresley P2 Class locomotive

Honours Degree in Electronic Engineering at London South Bank Polytechnic
Early career as an electronic engineer
In the 1980s worked in the Cambridge computer industry
Since 1990 worked for myself
Founded and ran Cleveland Systems Ltd. (1994 - 2004), representing various Silicon Valley software firms in UK and Europe
Been travelling a lot the last few years, especially France, Spain, Turkey and the USA
Enjoy seeing my letters published in the press

Married Cathy 1977
Children Robert (1980), Philip (1982) and Suzanne (1990)
Cathy originally trained as a nurse, now a Breastfeeding Counsellor with the National Childbirth Trust
Robert trained as a chef with Gary Rhodes in London, now Chef at the highly rated Incy Wincy's Nursery in Bedale near Ripon in North Yorshire where he lives
Philip has followed me into the IT industry, now Technical Director at SHOUT Digital in Newcastle, and has recently taken up flying lessons
Suzanne initially studied Dance and Drama after leaving school, but has now switched to a nursing degree at Newcastle University
